Sean Savage is a member of the Division of Monetary Affairs at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, DC, where he focuses on issues related to the transmission of monetary policy through financial markets and institutions. He will talk about his career, work done at the Fed, and about opportunities for students to work as a research assistant in the Monetary Affairs division of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors.
Prior to joining the Board, Sean was an Executive Director in the Office of Regulatory Affairs at JPMorgan in New York, where he advised senior leaders at the firm on ways in which financial regulations were impacting markets and institutions. His first experience in the Federal Reserve system came at the New York Fed, where he spent 8 years in a variety of roles, including working on the open market desk during the period of the central bank?s response to the global financial crisis. Earlier in his career he worked at several large financial institutions in New York.
Sean holds master's degrees in Finance from London Business School and International Economics & International Relations from Johns Hopkins, and did his undergraduate work at William & Mary.
