Elissa Altman (James Beard Award winner, author of 3 memoirs, writing teacher), joins Professor Kirsh's class: Women, Sexuality, and Judaism (RELG 327, GSWS 391) to  explore the rise of memoirs in America in the 21st century and will focus specifically on how her latest memoir adds to the canon of literature about Jewish motherhood and mother-daughter relationships.
