In “Reform Judaism Today”, Rabbi Lederman will lead the students through an exploration of the history of the different platforms issued by the Reform movement and will discuss the present state of Reform Judaism in American life. In “Experiences of Women in the Rabbinate in the 21st Century”, she will discuss the history of women in the rabbinate and will focus on her work as part of the Central Conference of American Rabbis’ was force on the experience of women in the rabbinate.
Rabbi Esther Lederman, Member of the Central Conference of American Rabbis’ task force on the experience of women in the rabbinate, will present these talks to Professor Kirsh's Women, Sexuality, Family, and Judaism (RELG 327, GSWS 391) at 9:30 am AND Intro to Jewish Thought (RELG 211) at 11:00am.
