Jude Hand graduated from the University of Delaware in 1988 with a B.A in Sociology and a minor in Women's Studies. She did her graduate work at Temple University, receiving her Master's in 2005 and her PhD in 2011. Her doctoral research was a qualitative study of the stories women tell to explain being in relationships with women after at least five years of heterosexual marriage. Since 2011 Jude has taught at Temple University, Widener University, Washington College, and The College of William and Mary. Since the job market won't seem to let her land anywhere permanent she is trying to develop a show for HGTV called "Itinerant Professor"? in which each year she and her partner go to a new college town, find an apartment for Jude, and furnish it by going to thrift shops and estate sales.

Light refreshments will be served.
