About the Symposium:
The well publicized deaths of so many young people in recent months ? and countless others -- remind us that our work to end anti-LGBTQ bullying, bias, and other forms of violence and discrimination in academia is vital to our well-being on campus. Eliminating discrimination on the bases of sexual orientation and gender identity requires not only creating inclusive policies, but also ensuring that institutional practices comply with those policies. The work of bringing about change within institutions of higher education demands our unyielding vigilance, ever-present strategizing, and relentless organizing. Join Network Virginia for a one-day faculty-staff symposium. We hope you will be revitalized by what we will share and that the phrase "...and justice for all" will, someday, truly include all of us.
