Arts & Sciences Events
[PAST EVENT] &hacks X, W&M's annual hackathon, is coming up the weekend of October 4-6!
Access & Features
- Free food
- Registration/RSVP
The 48-hour coding competition is open primarily to undergraduates, with a multitude of prize tracks to compete in. &hacks is held in Swem Library, providing a communal space to connect with other hackers, industry professionals, and alumni! For everyone involved, there will be free catered food, free swag, and opportunities for networking! This is one of W&M's largest annual events and is completely student-run by members of W&M’s ACM Chapter. It's also our tenth anniversary, so we have some big plans to make this event extra special!
Hackers are free to create any project they want using technology, and we highly value interdisciplinary applications of tech. This is an opportunity to show off your “&”! We will also have specific challenges put forth by campus partners and sponsors, to be announced when hacking begins! For ideas of past projects, visit https://tribehacks-ix.devpost.com/.
&Hacks check-in is at 4pm on Friday, October 4th, in Swem Library. Hacking begins at 7pm, and ends at 9am on Sunday! ⏰ If you are interested, sign up using this Google Form https://forms.gle/WkDACj4Sz9ua9NVJ7! Please note that there is no pressure to submit a project - we love our hackers that show up just to learn, connect, and have fun!

P.S. - &hacks was formerly known as Cypher/Tribehacks - it’s the same event!
