Title: From points to pixels: Observing and evaluating ecohydrological processes using field data, drones, airplanes, satellites, and models
Brief description: He will be discussing his recent research related to the remote sensing of ecohydrological processes around the United States. Topics will include describing reductions in evapotranspiration following wildfire, dust storms, and smoke; and a field campaign that captured ecohydrological observations using data from the field, uncrewed aerial vehicles, airplanes, and satellites. This research was in collaboration with undergraduate students through the NASA Student Airborne Research Program.
Come learn about fun adventures in corn fields and planes, and learn some more about space lasers, trees, and wildfire smoke !
