Are you a sophomore, junior, senior, or recent grad interested in human rights and social justice issues? Would you like to spend part of next summer in Europe with like-minded students and recent graduates from universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Poland, Turkey, Ukraine and the United States exploring national histories of discrimination and resistance, as well as examples of issues affecting different minority groups today?

Ryan Gayman, Coordinator of Outreach and Admissions for Humanity in Action (and an outstanding speaker!) will join us for a Skype presentation on Tuesday, December 2 at 5 p.m. in Blow 201.

As a former HIA Fellow, Ryan will be able to answer all of your questions about the program.

We'll have pizza, so RSVP here by noon on December 2: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Q6VV9NK

Read the information on the website carefully and bring your questions.

HUMANITY IN ACTION FELLOWSHIPS
See this page for details on the summer 2015 program: http://www.humanityinaction.org/pages/91-call-for-applications

The Humanity in Action Fellowship explores Europe's unique history during the Second World War and the Holocaust along with present-day tensions related to minority groups in the continent. Key areas of inquiry include national identity, immigration, xenophobia, Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, racism, political extremism and discrimination of Roma -- all seen through the specific lens of each of the five countries.

Note: If you are a current W&M undergraduate and you are awarded an HIA Fellowship, the Charles Center will cover the cost of your airfare to Europe for the program.
