[PAST EVENT] Meet Up: Climate Non-Profits and Science Education
Madeline Karp is a non-profit professional with expertise in program and project management, community engagement, education, distributed organizing, grassroots advocacy, strategic communications, and environmental issues. Currently, Madeline works for the Climate Reality Project as the Chapters Program Manager, where she manages a national network of over 140 chapters, overseeing broad strategy for the program and supporting a network of over 13,000 volunteers in the United States.
Prior to her work with Climate Reality, Madeline was the Director of Programs and Communications at DC School Reform Now. Madeline began her career as a secondary science teacher as part of the Teach for America Corps, instructing 9th-12th grade students in general and environmental science at a Maryland public school, and later taught history at a DC charter school. During her time as teacher, she pursed a Master of Education degree, with a concentration in Policy and Leadership, from American University. Madeline also graduated from William & Mary with a Bachelor of Science in biology and a minor in religious studies.
