H.M.S Pinafore

Aboard the H.M.S. Pinafore, at anchor off the shore of Portsmouth, England, love blossoms across class divides. Ralph Rackstraw, a lowly sailor, is in love with Josephine, his captain’s daughter. Although Josephine requites Ralph’s love, she refuses to tell him so on behalf of her father, who intends for her to marry the Rt. Hon Sir Joseph Porter, K.C.B., First Lord of the Admiralty. Sir Joseph’s talk of equality and insistence that “love levels all ranks” inadvertently encourages Ralph and Josephine to confess their love for each other and plan to elope. But will their plans be foiled by Josephine's father and the dastardly Dick Deadeye? Find out in this classic Gilbert & Sullivan musical that satirizes everything from British patriotism to the idiosyncracies of love.

Performances will take place in the Kimball Theatre on January 26th-28th at 7:30 pm and the 28th-29th at 2 pm.
