Scholarship on Display is a rotating exhibit series showcasing faculty work from academic departments and programs at William & Mary. This installment, located in Swem Library's lobby, features publications and research from faculty members in the Classical Studies department.

Classical Studies is one of William & Mary's original departments. Faculty in Classical Studies study and teach the languages, history, and archaeology of the ancient Mediterranean, and emphasize critical thinking and communication skills. The department's faculty members are actively engaged in cutting-edge research on archaeology, art history, cultural and social history, religion, ancient science, and Greek and Roman literature. All faculty in Classical Studies maintain an active research profile by conducting fieldwork and by publishing books with prestigious academic presses, articles in professional journals, and digital humanities projects. The faculty also work closely with their students, and provide them with opportunities to help with faculty research, or to guide them so they can conduct their own.

This exhibit highlights the dynamic and multi-faceted research and scholarship of the department's faculty. Light refreshments will be provided. Open to all!
