The life of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the so-called “father” of the atomic bomb, is one of triumph and tragedy. Join the Global Research Institute for a brief discussion of Oppenheimer’s legacy with nuclear historian Dr. Ryan Musto, followed by a screening of Christopher Nolan’s new film Oppenheimer. Nolan based his film off the 2005 Pulitzer-Prize winning biography of Oppenheimer American Prometheus, co-authored by historian Marty Sherwin, who served on Dr. Musto’s dissertation committee. We will meet on Tuesday July 25 at 6 PM at The Brass Tap in New Town to enjoy food & beverages and hear from Dr. Musto. Afterwards, we will walk across the street to Regal New Town Cinema to see the 7 pm showing of Oppenheimer. We recommend purchasing your tickets in advance.

Please RSVP here. We hope to see you there! If you have any trouble RSVPing, please email Kelly Houck at[[klhouck]].
