The University Teaching and Learning Project, Arts and Sciences, and the Department of Geology are pleased to the first UTLP 2019-20 workshop from noon to 2:00 PM in Tidewater B of the Sadler Center. (Lunch will be provided for those who preregister at: http://forms.wm.edu/43649 . Professor Karl Wirth will present on Redesigning Content-Rich Courses to Encourage Self-Directed Learning. Professor Wirth, an igneous petrologist, geochemist, and Associate Professor of Geology at Macalester College, has researched and presented on the topics of metacognition, reflective practice and self-directed learning all over the world.
