The Public Policy Program and the Schroeder Center for Health Policy are looking for a Research Assistant who will assist with their Internship Program for undergraduates. We are seeking an undergraduate who is enthusiastic about identifying and updating public policy internship opportunities in both the public and private sectors, including internships around the country in consulting firms, nonprofits, executive branch agencies, Governors’ offices, and Congress. The selected student must be detailed-oriented and able to work independently. S/he will meet virtually each week with a supervisor to define the tasks to be completed and the priorities for the week.
Students must be accepted for admission in a degree-seeking program. Students must be enrolled in 6 credits for part-time or full-time during the school year. Students must be eligible for employment on campus. Employment may be subject to approval.
Skills:
• Able to discern public policy internships vs other types of internships
• Attention to detail in identifying and updating internship listings
• Highly organized
• Able to complete weekly tasks in a timely manner
• Able to clearly communicate weekly results
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel
Hours: 10 hours/week (Fall Semester)
Pay Per Hour: $8.50/hour
Anticipated Start Date: September 4, 2020
