[PAST EVENT] Friday in Richmond

March 18, 2011
All day
Location
Richmond, Virginia
3:00-4:00pm: We'll start with two W&M MPPs talking about their career paths since leaving the friendly confines: Mike Cassidy, founder and President of the Commonwealth Institute, and (tentatively) Jamie Radtke, US Senate Candidate (R) and former President of the Richmond Tea Party. Both have recently been named part of Richmond's up and coming "40 under 40" by Style Weekly. Read about them (and, I suppose, the other 38) at http://styleweekly.com/ME2/dirmod.asp?sid=&nm=&type=Publishing&mod=Publications::Article&mid=8F3A7027421841978F18BE895F87F791&tier=4&id=65D23B2B6CAB47129B0B692E1727F360

In the second session Eric Finkbeiner, policy director for Governor Bob McDonnell, will be meeting with students to discuss the just-concluded legislative session, including what went well for the Governor, and what didn?t go so well. Key issues in the session included transportation funding, higher education, ABC privatization, and others. Other speakers to be announced soon. The day will conclude with a reception at Old City Hall.

Method of transportation will be car pools and those driving will be reimbursed for mileage and parking.
