Access & Features
- Free food
William & Mary Strategic Cultural Partnerships (SCP) invites new and returning students to step off campus and join us at our inaugural SCP Open House on Thursday, August 31, from 3:00 – 5:00 PM: Pizza, Partnerships and Passes!
With the first day of classes under your belt, it’s time to reward yourself! Come eat some delicious FREE Mellow Mushroom pizza, enjoy drinks and snacks, and learn all about what we do at Strategic Cultural Partnerships!
Did you know W&M students get FREE passes to Colonial Williamsburg? Bring your W&M student ID and we’ll walk you to the Lumber House at CW to get your pass! Along the way, we’ll stop by the Williamsburg Bray School, the nation’s oldest existing school for the education of enslaved and free Black children and tell you about how it was found on W&M’s campus and how our research on the school is making waves!
We have exciting opportunities for new (and returning) students interested in history, museums, research, art, education, and cultural diversity to get involved, get active, and make an impact at W&M! Learn about our volunteer and internship programs!
Strategic Cultural Partnerships oversees the Omohundro Institute of Early American History & Culture, the W&M Bray School Lab, James Monroe’s Highland, the Muscarelle Museum of Art, Educational Partnerships, and the Brafferton Initiative – we have something for every interest!
Located in the historic Travis House, “Pizza, Partnership, and Passes” offers a chance to explore our colonial-era workspace, engage in discussions with SCP staff, and ask any questions you may have about our ongoing projects, upcoming events, and academic opportunities.
We're conveniently located just a short distance from the campus hustle, offering a different perspective, in the Travis House at 345 W. Francis St. – just across the street from the CW Art Museums!
Come spend some time with us on August 31, 2023. We’ll provide the pizza, the refreshments, and the knowledge – all you have to bring is yourself. (And maybe a friend or two.)
See you then!
