Bray School Stories: Writing a New History
Location
ZoomAccess & Features
- Open to the public
- Registration/RSVP
W&M Bray School Lab presents a monthly Zoom series by Genealogist Elizabeth Drembus, detailing her on-going search for the descendants of the Williamsburg Bray School.
This month we highlight the publication of The Williamsburg Bray School: A History Through Records, Reflections, and Rediscovery (Colonial Williamsburg, 2024).
Co-editors Maureen Elgersman Lee and Nicole Brown will discuss the manuscript which features twenty-six original essays in the main body of the book.
The essays reflect on the history and legacies of the Williamsburg Bray School and its students as outlined by seven key archival documents.
With the single largest proportion of essays written by Descendant Community members, the book is the product of incredible community vision and collaboration.
Joining the discussion will be several contributors to the book, making this a very special session of Bray School Stories.
This event is free and open to all, but registration is required: https://go.wm.edu/GymX5c
