United States Distance Learning Association Friday Webinar

Presenter: Dr. Jan Brott
Texas A&M International University
Co - Presenters: Cynthia Pina and Lina De La Garza

An unexpected positive outcome from the pandemic is that we've learned to use our creativity for problem-solving. In an effort to engage and support students, educators have embraced social media as a teaching tool. In this presentation, participants will examine popular social media platforms and how they can be used for teaching and support, as well as discuss strategies for integrating social media into class assignments. Throughout the session, we encourage participant engagement with live online polling and breakout groups.

Dr. Jan Brott has been researching social media for the past 8 years. She creates workshops on topics relating to social media for learning and support. She also works with teachers to design engaging activities using social media.
