Stretching 400 miles both east to west and north to south, Florida contains lots of aquatic habitat. Now the third most populous state with over 21 million residents and nearly 1,000 new Floridians arriving every day, these habitats are increasingly subjected to a variety of impacts. This talk will examine aquaculture as a tool for restoring species and habitats; what it can do, what it can't do, what we've learned, and what we'd like to know. Presented by Joshua Patterson, Ph.D., Assistant Professor UF|IFAS School of Forest Resources and Conservation, Program in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences at The Florida Aquarium|Center for Conservation.
There is no charge for this presentation. Seating limited to 60 people.
