Join VIMS at the Essex Public Library in Tappahannock, as Susanna Musick, Marine Recreation Specialist for the Marine Advisory Program at VIMS, delivers a talk on the Virginia Game Fish Tagging Program: 24 years of cooperative fisheries research. The Virginia Game Fish Tagging Program is an effort to involve recreational anglers in the conservation and management of marine fishes. The program enlists anglers to assist in the collection of scientific information about the movements and biology of fishes by tagging targeted species of marine game fish. During this talk, Susanna will explain the Game Fish Tagging Program and discuss how this research has helped biologists learn about favorite sport fishes in Virginia. If you love to fish - you'll enjoy this talk!

This event is free and open to the public. Registration not required.
