William & Mary's iGEM team is hosting an OUTBREAK presentation diving into how research projects and laboratory work can break out into the public and be put to work in the business world. The presentation will focus on the similarities we see between STEM research processes and the steps to building a successful business, and how the two fields can work together to create a successful company or product. The CTO for Spira Inc. Surjan Singh will dive further how companies can take emerging research in STEM laboratories and utilize them as assets, growing projects into new businesses. Duck Donuts and Dunkin Donuts will be provided for snacking during the presentation while we explore the mutually beneficial collaboration between these two fields.
