[PAST EVENT] Virginia Symphony at Lake Matoaka

The concert program is family-friendly and includes selections by Mozart, Rossini, Dvorak, Scott Joplin, John Williams, Marvin Hamlisch and more. The event is free and open to the public.

Personal coolers and picnic baskets will be permitted; however, no external alcohol will be allowed. Wine will be available for purchase on site. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

The performance at Lake Matoaka is being sponsored by the City of Williamsburg, the College of William & Mary, William & Mary's Student Assembly and APM Terminals, which is sponsoring all four of the symphony's Labor Day weekend concerts.

In addition to those four concerts, the symphony will perform three more times in September as part of its annual fall outdoor series. Conducted by Associate Conductor Benjamin Rous, the fall concert series is a prelude to the Virginia Symphony's 2012-2013 concert season.
