Comedian Jaboukie Young-White, a correspondent for “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah,” will perform at William & Mary as part of its 2020 Charter Day weekend.
Sponsored by Alma Mater Productions and the W&M Student Assembly, the show will be on Saturday, February 8th in the Sadler Center’s Commonwealth Auditorium. Doors will open at 7:00. P.M., and the show will start at 8:00 P.M. Tickets will ONLY be sold the day of the show at the door. Ticket prices are as follows: $3 with a Student ID, $5 for Faculty and Staff, and $10 for the General Public.
In addition to his work on “The Daily Show,” Young-White has performed on “The Tonight Show” and recently taped a half-hour special for “Comedy Central Stand-Up Presents.” He has appeared on HBO’s “Crashing” and in the featured films “Rough Night” and “Set It Up.” Previously, he served as a staff writer for Netflix’s “American Vandal” and “Big Mouth.”
He was named a comic to watch at the 2017 New York Comedy Festival and among Vulture/New York Magazine’s “Comedians You Should and Will Know.” Rolling Stone also named him among its “25 Under 25,” and Variety counted him among “10 Comics to Watch.”
William & Mary’s annual Charter Day weekend celebrates the university’s founding by royal charter in 1693. The Charter Day ceremony is slated to take place at 4 p.m. Feb. 7 in Kaplan Arena. A carnival will follow at 5 p.m. in the Kaplan Arena parking lot.
