The collection of vases helps showcase the development of Attic pottery, beginning with the patterned decoration of the Geometric Amphora and ending with the later red-figure decoration of the Attic Red-Figure Column Krater by the Orestes Painter.

Incoming students (freshmen and transfer) wishing to continue the study of Japanese must take the placement exam. It will be offered on Monday, August 27, 2012 from 9:00-10:00 and again from 11:00-12:00 in Washington Hall 310.

Entering students will have their first advising session with their pre-major advisor.

Students wishing to continue study of Italian must take the placement test before the start of the semester. It will be offered on Monday, August 27th in Washington Hall rm. 308 at both 9 am and 10 am.

Students wishing to continue study of Chinese must take the placement test before the start of the semester. It will be offered Monday, August 27th in Washington Hall rm. 317 at both 10 am and 11 am. Student may take either session.

Arabic Language Placement Exam Incoming students (freshmen and transfer) wishing to continue the study of Arabic must take the placement exam. It will be offered on Monday, August 27, 2012 from 11:00-12:00 in Washington 308
