Colloquium: When is a clone not a clone? (and vice-versa)
Colloquium: When is a clone not a clone? (and vice-versa)
Friday, February 1
3pm - 4pm
McGlothlin-Street Hall, Room 20
James R. Cordy, School of Computing, Queen's University, explains why implicit assumptions made by clone detectors cause them to do very poorly in analysis of similarities in modeling languages, and how taking context into account resolves the problem.
Colloquium: Rational Processes -- Beyond Markov Chains
Colloquium: Rational Processes -- Beyond Markov Chains
Friday, February 15
3pm - 4pm
McGlothlin-Street Hall, Room 20
Peter Buchholz, Department of Computer Science, TU Dortmund, will introduce Rational Processes and show that, when compared to Markov Processes, they define a modeling approach to handle large state spaces in an efficient way.
Colloquium: Challenges in adapting and deploying research techniques into industrial teams
Colloquium: Challenges in adapting and deploying research techniques into industrial teams
Friday, February 22
3pm - 4pm
McGlothlin-Street Hall, Room 20
Brian Robinson, ABB, will discuss challenges developers and testers face in adapting and deploying research solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of software engineering activities.
