Interested in conducting research but not sure where to start? This workshop will provide you with useful advice about finding research advisors and mentors.

Hear from students who have interned at State, learn about the application process and how to make yours stronger, and learn about the Harriman Scholarship. Monday, October 7 at 5 p.m., Blow Hall 201.

Prof. Chris Howard and Swem Librarian Natasha McFarland will lead this seminar and offer practical tips about what students should and should not do when writing a research paper.

The DAAD offers a wide range of awards for American students who want to study, do research or intern, in Germany. German language knowledge is not always required. Come to this session to learn about the many options available and have some pizza.

The purpose of this workshop is to provide you with information regarding the process of selecting and applying to graduate programs. We will focus not only on research-oriented graduate degrees, but also speak about professional degrees as well.

The Peer Scholarship Advisors are offering a personal statement review for State Department summer internship applicants. To participate, bring 3 copies your personal statement to the session.

All Virginia educators are welcome to join us for a workshop on issues that pertain to African-American educators in Virginia schools. Dinner will be served.

Boren Scholarships fund study abroad in countries underrepresented in study abroad. Undergraduates in all classes - including seniors - are encouraged to attend.

Students who received summer research scholarships from the Charles Center will present their work during the week of September 30-October 4.
