Join the Lemon Project Summer Sankofa Series for a presentation by Dr. Raquel Fleskes called "We carry the DNA of our Ancestors: A Genetics & Genealogy Workshop." Over the last twenty years, DNA has been used to understand personal and family history using the tools of genetic genealogy. However, understanding the science behind these tools is important to ensure that results are not over-interpreted. During this workshop, we will review the differences between mitochondrial, Y chromosome, and autosomal genetic tests, and how they can be applied to genealogical research.
