Join fellow members of the W&M community in Charlottesville for an educational opportunity to learn about alumnus and former U.S. President James Monroe. A tour of sites connected to Monroe on the University of Virginia’s grounds, including the Memorial to Enslaved Laborers on Monroe Hill, will be led by  Louis Nelson ’90 and Sara Bon-Harper. Nelson is vice provost for academic outreach and professor of architectural history at UVA. Bon-Harper is executive director of James Monroe’s Highland, a historical site owned by William & Mary.

The tour will be followed by an optional gathering at the Graduate Charlottesville hotel for a chance to discuss our shared tour experience and socialize with fellow W&M alumni, parents, family and friends. Light appetizers and one drink will be provided.

Note: This event has limited capacity, so please sign up early to reserve your spot! Once registration is full, please email Ashley Bronsky M.Ed. ’20 at [[ashley.bronsky]] if you’d like to join the waitlist.
