Andrea Keys Connell
Ceramic sculptor Andrea Keys Connell is Assistant Professor of Ceramics at Virginia Commonwealth University. She received her MFA from Ohio University.
Andrea's work has been featured in a number of national and international publications and she has widely exhibited her work. Most recently Andrea was featured in Art Papers, Korean Monthly Ceramics, and Ceramics and the Human Figure. She has had various solo exhibitions at galleries and museums, including The Florida Holocaust Museum, The Clay Studio and The Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft.
Her sculptures, lectures and writings demonstrate a desire to investigate how an individual's personal history affects their identity, behaviors and actions.
A reception and talk will be held at Andrews Gallery on Thursday, Sept 13, from 4 - 6 p.m. Exhibition and reception are free and open to the public. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Mon. - Fri.
The Andrews Gallery is on the campus of The College of William and Mary, in Andrews Hall, opposite Swem Library and to the rear of Phi Beta Kappa Memorial Hall on Jamestown Road. Parking permit may be required during the day. Call 757-221-4764 for parking information.
