Fossil shells on beach at Colonial National Historical Park

Celebrate Fossil Day with the W&M Geology Department and Colonial National Historical Park!

We'll be hosting lots of fossil-related activities including:
- Digging for 4 million year old fossil whale bone and shells
- Finding and identifying fossil shark teeth under the microscope
- Lectures by Dr. Stephen Godfrey (Calvert Marine Museum) on his fossil discoveries
- plus junior paleontologist kits, coloring pages, and much more.

Perfect for families with Pre K - 8th grade children and anyone else who loves fossils. 

Held outside with mask-wearing kindly requested.
