The Classical Studies Colloquium is an annual event showcasing the independent research of our majors in their capstone course, as well as Honors Thesis students. This year the theme is Ancient Religion and the colloquium will feature 14 student presentations. All students will present talks on their independent research topics, organized around the theme, with additional time for Q&A. The event will conclude with a keynote address by Prof. Brett Evans, of Georgetown Univ., a W&M alum, on the topic of: "How a star was born: competition and religious innovation in the 'Lock of Berenice.'" The colloquium is free and open to the public.
