Life Beyond Academia: An Alumni Panel On How To Transfer Your Humanities PhD Training Into Meaningful Work Outside of The Tenure Track
The work of doctoral students in the humanities is uniquely positioned to have a wide range of scope—specialized research training, proficiency in high caliber writing, and a keen understanding of culture, histories and geographies are just a few of our transferable skill sets. Join us on March 9, 2023, via Zoom, as we connect with a panel of William & Mary Alumni who are using their PhD training in jobs outside of the tenure track. They will reflect on how their academic expertise prepared them for professional experiences after graduation and provide insight on landing fulfilling work beyond academia.
