With the generous support of the Rachel and E.W. Thompson Philosophy Endowment and the Foradas Philosophy Department Speaker’s Series Endowment, the William & Mary Philosophy Department is hosting a one-day conference in honor of our colleague, Elizabeth Radcliffe. The order of talks, with titles and commentators, is as follows:

9:45 – 10:45 Angela Coventry (Portland State), with comments by Miriam McCormick (University of Richmond)

“The Advancement of Naturalized Epistemology: A Comparative Study of David Hume, W. V. O. Quine and Elizabeth Anderson”

11:00 – 12:00 Kenneth Winkler (Yale) with comments by Chuck Goldhaber (Haverford)

“Causes and Causal Reasoning in Hume’s Enquiries.”
