Talk title: Origin and shake-up of functional and morphological diversity in bivalves

Brief description: Through 500 million years and the “Big 5” mass extinctions, bivalves have suffered, persisted, and ultimately rebounded in response to climatic and environmental change. Analyzing how episodes of severe taxonomic loss affected other aspects of bivalve biodiversity—their phylogenetic, morphologic, and functional ecologies—helps us to estimate the potential macroevolutionary consequences of today's biodiversity crisis.
