In Spring, 2025, we will be celebrating the intersection of arts & democracy through the Scholarly Perspectives: Arts & Democracy Series. Over the semester there will be several visitors on campus, and we are hoping that COLL courses, especially COLL 300s and COLL 350s, will take advantage of the opportunity to engage with the visitors and reflect on the theme of Arts & Democracy. One of the visitors will be Guatemalan photographer and human rights activist Daniel Hernandez Salazar. At the end of the Spring semester a festival is being planned that will include presentations of student work from participating courses. This workshop is an opportunity to learn more about the Arts & Democracy Series and how your courses can contribute to it. Please register here.
