Based on a true story about a bored 14-year-old girl who seeks excitement in the seamy drug scene of ?70s Berlin, Christiana F. (directed by Ulrich Wedel) is one of the most shocking and controversial films of our time. Lonely and alienated, Christiane visits a nightclub where her idol, David Bowie, is performing. Eager to fit in with her new crowd, she experiments with valium, then LSD and eventually heroin. Soon addicted, she turns to prostitution to support her drug habit.
Startling in honesty, this award-winning film is a powerful, unforgettable look at youth and innocence seduced and heartbreakingly corrupted by modern life?s compelling dark side
