The Schroeder Center for Health Policy at William & Mary is pleased to announce a new summer research fellowship program in conjunction with the Brock Institute for Community and Global Health at the Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS). The Schroeder Center - Brock Institute (SC-BI) Summer Fellowship Program is open to all continuing William & Mary undergraduate students in good standing. SC-BI Fellows will receive a $3,000 stipend and free university housing for work to be completed over the course of seven full-time weeks between June 15 and July 31, 2015.
Applicants for SC-BI fellowships will propose their own research question related to health policy or health services research. During the fellowship period, students will conduct the proposed research using appropriate methods. Students will work with a William & Mary faculty mentor and have access to data and statistical programs in the Schroeder Center. Fellows will have opportunities for interaction with EVMS faculty and other student fellows. Work will conclude with the completion of a research paper.
Preference will be given to applicants whose research focuses on health policy issues pertaining to the Commonwealth of Virginia or the Hampton Roads community and to applicants who plan to use quantitative analysis, possibly including newly acquired patient-level data from the Virginia Health Information.
The application deadline is Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 12:00 p.m.
