The Graduate Center is now accepting applications from A&S graduate students interested in presenting their research to a general audience as part of next year’s Emerging Scholars Series.
 
This series of lectures is offered to the local public and presented in partnership between the A&S Grad Center and the Williamsburg Regional Library. We’ve developed quite a devoted audience of local community members, many of them retirees.  This is a terrific way to build your CV and get public speaking experience different from what is required at an academic conference.

Application deadline: Sunday, May 14 (11:59 p.m. ET). 
Application Instructions: You will be asked to supply a title and description for your talk. Consider carefully how to craft a title and short blurb that would make them accessible and appealing to a general audience of curious listeners interested in learning new things.  The title and description for your talk submitted with your application should be accessible to a general audience.
