[PAST EVENT] Colonial Swim Camp
June 15, 2014 - June 19, 2014
The Tribe Swimming coaching staff presents the fourth annual Colonial Swim Camp at the College of William & Mary. Whether novice, summer league swimmer, or senior college-bound athlete, the Colonial Swim Camp is your destination if you want to swim faster, train smarter, and maximize your potential. We invite you to join us for a fun summer day camp experience where you will learn the secrets to success both in and out of the pool! REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!!!
Recommended ages are 8 to 18. Some competitive swimming experience, ability to swim the length of a 25-yard pool, and a willingness to work hard are the only requirements!
Campers at Colonial Swim Camp will learn stroke mechanics for all four competitive strokes. Individual feedback and underwater film analysis will be provided with the use of our StrokeView SV4 underwater camera system. In addition to the latest cutting-edge stroke techniques for butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle, campers will also learn to be quicker off the blocks, sharper on their turns, and faster under water. Other topics covered include dryland fitness, nutrition, goal setting, race strategy, training techniques, and mastering the mental challenges of our sport. The staff at the Colonial Swim Camp will ensure that you leave camp armed with the knowledge you need to take your swimming to the next level!
