The Sankofa Gala is a culminating celebration of Black History Month to be held annually at William & Mary. By looking back at general African American history as well as the history of the enslaved and free African Americans at William & Mary, we embrace Sankofa: that is, looking back at the past in order to move forward to continue to live, create, and commemorate African American history. Dress code is formal attire.
