The W&M Confucius Institute and Law School are honored to invite Frank R. Samolis to campus for a lecture on U.S. and China trade relations as of 2020.
Frank R. Samolis advises clients on negotiations and bilateral/regional trade agreements with organizations such as the WTO. He has also served as a representative for the Free Trade Agreement (FTA), Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), and other several foreign trade agreements/negotiations.
Samolis will lead a lecture informing and discussing recent trade activities between the United States and China– including both the previous trade tariffs and China’s recent $200 billion investment in the U.S.’s goods and services. Debate surrounds whether or not China and the U.S. will maintain their ends of the trade deal, and if these heavily enforced trade restrictions will mark the end of continued trade relations between the two economic powerhouses.
The lecture will take place Tuesday March 24th, from 1:00 - 2:00pm at the W&M Law School Room 124. Admission is free to the general public! Pizza will be served before the lecture.
