[PAST EVENT] Cancelled: 1L Sections 9-16: Prepare to Practice
The Lawyering Skills program is pleased to announce that Dean Troy Riddle, Assistant Dean for Diversity and Inclusion at Albany Law School, will present “Prepare to Practice: Cultural Competency” on April 1. This educational program is for law students only.
All 1L students must attend their scheduled session, which will replace their Lawyering Skills class for Week 13.
· Sections 1-8: Monday, April 1 from 5:00-6:30 in Room 119
· Sections 9-16: Monday, April 1 from 7:00-8:30 in Room 119
Dean Riddle moderated the panel "Free Speech on Campus: A Delicate Balancing Test" and "How to Engage with Historically Marginalized Communities" at the Association of American Law Schools Annual Meeting on January 5, 2019. He has a J.D. from Widener, and an M.B.A. from Philadelphia University. He received the 2017-2018 Illinois State Bar Association Diversity Leadership Award, and is a frequent speaker in the area of diversity, including delivering the keynote speech at the 2017 National Diversity Prelaw Conference.
