Facial recognition technology is widely used in both the public and private sectors. But how does this increasingly pervasive technology actually work? What benefits can it offer national security efforts, and what challenges does it present for individual privacy rights?

The Center For Legal Court Technology (CLCT) and the Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Legal Society (DPCLS) invite you to consider these questions (and more) during a special lunch hour lecture with Gabrielle Shea (W&M '20). As Public Policy Manager for a global technology company, Ms. Shea deals directly with the legal, policy, and social considerations that arise from the use of facial recognition technology. She will share her insight and expertise in a virtual lecture on Wednesday, February 23rd from 1:00pm – 1:50pm.

No registration is required for this event. This event is open only to members of the William & Mary law school.
