The Law School community will gather at at 8:15 AM to celebrate the graduation and awarding of diplomas to the J.D. and LL.M. classes of 2016. During the event, special awards also will be presented to members of the classes and to alumni. Seating is limited to graduates and their guests.
U.S. Senator Tim Kaine of Virginia is this year's speaker. Senator Kaine, who was elected to the Senate in 2012, was first elected to public office more than two decades ago, serving as a city council member and later as mayor of Richmond. He became Virginia?s lieutenant governor in 2002, and served as the Commonwealth?s 70th governor from 2006 to 2010.
