COLL 350 courses enhance students' knowledge and critical analysis of the workings of power, privilege, and inequity in U.S. society and globally, past and present. By focusing on respectful dialogue in the classroom and encouraging critical reflection on issues surrounding race and other social categories, COLL 350 courses help students make substantial and sustained connections between course material and contemporary life in the United States.

This workshop will help prepare you to tackle the unique challenges of designing and teaching a COLL 350 course. The workshop places particular emphasis on syllabus design, approaches to fostering dialogue in the classroom, and techniques to address student concerns surrounding COLL 350 course content.

Morning sessions will focus on key aspects of developing and teaching a COLL 350 while afternoon sessions will provide space to explore and discuss these concepts with your colleagues.
