Our studies in the classroom focus primarily on the American judicial system and how it has developed, but what about the judicial systems in other nations? How about in regional bodies such as the European Union? And what about in international organizations such as the United Nations and International Criminal Court? If you are interested in pursuing international law or merely want to increase your exposure to systems of law other than our own, join the Comparative Legal Student Scholars, Center for Comparative Legal Studies & Post-Conflict Peacebuilding, and the Reves Center for International Studies for the 2021 Spring Symposium on April 16! The theme of this year’s symposium is “Evolving Jurisprudence in International Courts, Tribunals, and Human Rights Bodies.” As our understanding of the law grows and adapts, so too must our judicial systems. Come learn about how these regional and international bodies are working to develop their systems of law to preserve justice and promote human rights!
You can learn more about the speakers and RSVP for the symposium here: https://law.wm.edu/academics/intellectuallife/researchcenters/postconflictjustice/spring2020_conference/index.php
We hope to see you then!
