Courtney Hesselbacher

Courtney Hesselbacher (BA, W&M Public Policy and History, '06) is U.S. Enterprise Portfolio Director at Gallup, where she has been the last 11 years. One of the projects she leads is with Hologic, a medical device company specializing in women's health. In 2021, Hologic launched the release of the Global Women's Health Index, which is "the first globally comparative study of women's health" that was conducted in partnership with Gallup World Poll. The index includes data on preventive care, health problems, emotional issues, pregnancy care, doctor visits, domestic violence, medical treatments, and the ability to pay for food and shelter. Countries and territories are ranked on different women's health measures. Recent findings show a worldwide disparity in women's preventative care, among other things. Ms. Hesselbacher will speak to the William & Mary community about the Hologic Global Women's Health Index.

This is the second of the Schroeder Center for Health Policy's Spring 2022 talks on “Women's Health”. To register for Ms. Hesselbacher's talk, please click here.
