[PAST EVENT] Hands Only CPR/AED training
Access & Features
- Open to the public
Sudden cardiac arrest strikes over 300,000 Americans annually and over 85% of those Americans die before reaching the hospital. Research shows that bystander initiation of CPR and rapid defibrillation following the arrest increases the chance of survival by almost 50%. By learning hands-only CPR and AED use you will be able to respond if a loved one or friend suddenly collapses due to sudden cardiac arrest. Our training is a valuable resource to community members who want to be ready to perform CPR and use an AED in the case of an emergency. Please note, the training does not result in certification required by employers. This is a one hour, life-saving educational opportunity being offered by the Williamsburg HEARTSafe Alliance in conjunction with W&M’s Environment, Health & Safety Department.
The class is one hour and offered at 9am and 10:30am. Each class is limited to 20 participants.
