Apply through emailThe Public Policy Program and the Schroeder Center for Health Policy are looking for a Research Assistant who will work in three areas throughout the Fall semester (September 8 - December 10, 2021):
1. Public Policy Internships – The RA will help implement our Internship Program. We are seeking an undergraduate who is enthusiastic about identifying and updating public policy internship opportunities in both the public and private sectors, including internships around the country in consulting firms, nonprofits, executive branch agencies, Governors’ offices, and Congress.
2. Marketing and Publicity – The RA will help the Public Policy Program and the Schroeder Center market their Fall semester events. The RA will: help with advertising before each event, attend the events, and write brief descriptions of the events for publicity on our websites, newsletters, social media sites, etc.
3. Other Tasks – There may be other tasks throughout the semester on which we may need some help.
The RA, who will work 10 hours/week, will meet each week with a supervisor to define the tasks to be completed and the priorities for the week. Public Policy majors eligible for work study are preferred. Students must be accepted for admission in a degree-seeking program. Students must be enrolled in 6 credits for part-time or full-time during the school year. Students must be eligible for employment on campus. Employment may be subject to approval. Pay is $9.50/hour.

- Attention to detail in identifying and updating internship listings
- Able to work independently
- Highly organized
- Excellent writing skills
- Able to complete weekly tasks in a timely manner
- Able to clearly communicate weekly results
