Every December, the William & Mary community celebrates new beginnings with the Yule Log ceremony. This holiday tradition began in the 1930s and has been part of the William & Mary experience for generations of alumni. Our cares and worries of the year burn away with the holly in the yule fire, and our community — on campus and around the world — comes together with shared hope for the future.
This year, we are excited to restart in-person Yule Log ceremonies for alumni and friends nationwide, as well as offer an online livestream option! We hope you will join us for one or both of these festive opportunities to celebrate the holiday season:

The W&M Alumni Association is hosting Yule Log celebrations in select cities nationwide.

On Dec. 18 at 5:30 p.m. ET, watch the livestream of this year’s celebration on campus, including student performances, special poems and stories and plenty of holiday cheer.
